This is a great piece that I’ve been working with for years. It’s a voice changing megaphone with the added features:
-Pitch adjustment knob
-Pitch modulation touch points
-Tone button
-1/4″ switching input jack
(turns off mic when external signal is patched in)
-1/4″ switching output jack
(turns off speaker when patched out)
-The whole unit has been completely rewired and reinforced. This means that every wire was removed and replaced with high quality wire. All hardware connections are heat shrunk.
The circuit in this piece is pretty amazing and is capable of making some great sounds, but it’s a cheap toy and wasn’t very well made, so we completely rebuilt it.
The megaphone can be used to effect your voice, or an external signal can be patched into the input jack. It sounds great on guitar and works wonders on wimpy drum beats.
The samples below show some of the ways it can be used.
The first sample is a super wimpy drum beat transformed into a thumping jam.
The second sample is some vocal tweaking.
The third is the Baby Driver through the megaphone.
